T50 standing speakers VS Monitor 40 Series II as fronts

I've had these two pair of speakers for a while, but I'm wondering which pair would be best used as the fronts.

Polk T50 standing speakers
or
Polk Monitor 40 Series II

Appreciate any advice.

Have you tried each yet to see which you prefer?

    Do you have a sub?

The T50s may offer replacement flexibility for you since they're not rear ported. 1

    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

I do have a sub. I wanted to get some other people's opinions before going through the trouble of swapping and recalibrating. Not sure if I would need to recalibrate just to find out which sound better.

This... You should hook em up. I bought a complete Pioneer set up with a mint pair of HPM100's. I so wanted to keep them. I hooked them up to Pioneer SA9800 they came with. Didn't like em. Tried on Adcom amp nope. Tried on Yamaha cr1000 nope. Tried em on Yamaha cr2040 nope. Tried em on Yamaha RXV1 nope. I gave up. Even tho they have outstanding reviews they didn't do it for me. That doesn't mean their bad speakers. When those models you have came out I bought them new just to hear them. Nice speakers for what they are @ price point.. Just cause I don't like a certain speaker Doesn't mean you might not like them.....Enjoy your speakers & do tell what you think
