Anyone use the L900's for atmos? I have the L600's and am wondering if they 900's would be worth it. I would use wall mounted R900's for rear atmos as Polk says they are timbre matched. I'm looking to make a purchase today because I'll be out of state for a month due to work.

In my room, they work very well. I like them a lot for what they are, but HT is not high on my list right now. If it were, I would go with in ceiling speakers instead.

Thanks. In wall speakers are not an option for me otherwise I'd go that route.

They work very well for me in a pair of L800s and it's because of them that I started using Auro 3D surround mode for all AV content. I have standard ceiling height in the room I have mine in. I've even thought about adding a pair of L600s with L900s as surround speakers but haven't felt the need to. The L800s add width and the L900s add height.

I really appreciate that Polk made these available as an add on option that can be installed in the speaker cabinet rather than sitting on top. I have a pair of the R900s I'm not using right now and they look like a bit of an eye sore but they did function well.

Best to spring for the L900s fast if wanting them because they're getting hard to find and it's unlikely they'll be easy to find on the used market later.
