ACT-1 pre/pro, 2 100X3 power amps and 1 A100 power amp for $300 local to me. Great condition. All working as they should. No remote for pre/pro.
I don't really need any of this gear. But is this a deal to good to pass up?

If you don't have a use for it, I'd pass. I spent a little time with Acurus gear about 16-18 years ago. Not really impressed. It's OK for mid-fi or if you need some extra HT amplification, but I wouldn't have it in my 2-ch system. It was on the harsh side. The pre-pro is not really relevant these days. For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

Acurus is the lower line to the original Aragon line. Pretty solid gear in the Aragon voice. Aragon is no longer the same Aragon, not sure about parts. But Acurus gear is well past the age where caps, etc should be replaced. If nothing has been done to the gear, maybe think twice or plan on doing a re-cap at the minimum.
On a side note, I am looking to put together a 3rd rig. I thought the perfect rig would be a Mini Max Tube pre, Mini Max dac+ and an Adcom 535 to run a set of modded 5B's. Problem is the 535 will need to be re-capped I'm sure. You never know what you're getting into.

Perhaps I will pass on the gear then. Just trying to upgrade my components somewhat on the cheap. Most of my stuff is lo-fi to mid-fi at the best.
Power amp wise I have the following around the house....Yamaha M-600u, Onkyo Integra M-504 and M506RS, HK 870, Crown XLi1500.
Thanks for the input guys!--Gary--

I wasn't suggesting you pass, just be aware older gear may need freshening up. The Acurus is probably a bit newer than some of the amps you already own.

Ive been using the Acurus 200/3 channel amplifier for about 10 years now & it's been a solid performer. Been using it on/off as my center channel & rear with Parasound 2250 doing fronts. They blend well together. Never used or heard those you listed..
