I'm confused. Brodmann speakers.

I've done a few searches and come up short. Can anyone tell me how the get the midrange to the listener? No mids on the front. Look to be side fire. Are they using some kind of holography going on. Or are those directional vents on the side??

They look stunning. Would love to audition some.

if i had to guess there are drivers associated with the slats on the side, kind of a reflected sound approach

Their speakers use side firing mid-woofers in an unconventional design. Apparently very difficult to place correctly in a room.

I'll be in Vegas week after next and I see Brodmann lists their US distributor, there. Link to them is dead but I was able to find a website. They don't list Brodmann on their product page. Probably won't have much spare time but might swing by if I'm looking for something to do.
