Something Simple

Manual for Polk soundbar is barely informative; there is no On/Off - how much time is the 'in-active' duration until soundbar powers off automatically ?

REACT - Purple scrolling bar went off while I was posting the original query; guestimate about 20min. Are all remotes so narrow 'line of sight' to control soundbar functions ?

Dang Scott (@msg), you really went out of your way to hide the fact that you got a soundbar (and that you’re not able to operate it). The new username threw me off for a second, but I was able to figure it out. msg76…a brilliant disguise🤣🤣🤣

    DAGgit! Busted.

Yeah, I put all my gear out by the curb 2 weeks ago. I even snipped off one lead on my earbuds, too. I'm good with just left channel. Anything more is overkill.

I had a feeling 76 was gonna be transparent. Shoulda gone with @msg77 for the extra layer of obfuscation. Might even try uppercase numbers next time.

Anyway, yeah, back to my soundbar...

:D I have no idea what you are talking about. I am not hiding anything, I do know how to 'operate' my equipment - just don't know how (if at all possible), to turn it off, and it is not a 'new' username; the site would not accept my chosen Password. When I went to 'strengthen' my password, had to re-enter all the other information... didn't accept my Password, but apparently did my Username; .."the username is all ready taken.."

All amino acids have a one-letter code that's useful for writing protein sequences.
The code for glutamic acid is E
    mixixiakxw80.png
Glutamic acid is what we call a "dibasic" (or diprotic) acid; a molecule of E contains two acidic carboxyl groups (-COOH).
The ionized form of glutamic acid is called glutamate.
MSG is the monosodium salt of glutamate.
Now, here's where I'm going with this.
There is a very closely related amino acid, also found in protein, called glutamine.
It is an amidated form of glutamate.
What's the one-letter code for glutamine? I hear you ask.
    It's Q.
    Q?!?
    Q.
How do I remember that? I now hear you ask.
    Easy-peasy!
Glutamine is the Qtamine (cuteamine)... get it?!

    It is, too.

Lovely little amino acid (or mean old acid, as us cool biochemists like to call them).
And here ends our little biochemistry lesson and dose of surreality for the morning.

    We're all just ribbin' you.

What username were you going for?

Until you came along, I was the only Highlander. @PSOVLSK was talking to you like he discovered me trying to disguise myself as a new user - you - in order to avoid the embarrassment of having a soundbar problem, and one I couldn't figure out.

    In my best polite Canadian impression, I'm sorry, but I'm afraid you're going to have to die now. Guess I could change my username. Maybe @VR4, @msofty6647, @F2nut, @Hermitisms, @Clipdis, @pitcatt2, @NONE212, @SCompGoSlower, @bcswart, @nooshinbillyjack, or @TheRealTreitz3
