Trouble connecting with Banana plugs

I'm trying to connect my CSi3 with banana plugs, but the connectors do not seat all the way. I had no problems connecting to my receiver. I bought the monster cable plugs. Does anyone know why this is happening? I tried to refer to the manual, and it doesn't have any info other than "take the cap of to insert banana plugs". I haven't tried my RTi's yet, but I'm assuming it will be the same situation.

How deep does the bananas go in. My bananas go in amolt all the way in but dosnt flush with the top of the binding post. If you unscrew the post nut & push in the banana you may find the banana is botteming out in the post. My Lsi do the same with bananas. It looks like it could go in more but it cant its bottemed out. If thats what yours are doing thats normal! Hope this helps.

My plugs go in just enough to barely cover the whole banana part of the plug.

unscrew the binding post all the way, you should have a hole in the post where the speaker wire is put through if using bare wire. Look in that hole to see if your banana is botteming out. It sounds like you may be bottemed out. Look through the hole in the post. If bottemed out your ok!

Yeah, looks like I knocked the bottom out of it. My banana plug is large. I hope I didn't hurt the post to much.

"Push Harder" I think thats exactly what my wife said last night! I know I wasnt bottemed out, but I had no more! Ok nuf of that. I have seen some bananas that was slightly large, try another banana, is it the same problem? Again look through the hole in the post is the banana at the bottem?

ezc, its not that easy to try another banana....i mean..where is he gonna get another banana and how much is it gonna cost?

bishop it will help if you measure the depth of the hole...that way we can all measure our banana's and see if which one will be a perfect fit.

I feel bad for people with small bananas. I did look through the hole, and my banana did bottom out. Crazy big banana, you might scare someone.
