Look at the picture showing the rear passive radiator. That looks like a large drivr of some sort. Look at the dust cover. I have a pairt of these speakers and they definitely don't have dust covers. What do you all think?

i don't have any experience with these speakers, so i couldn't answer you on the dust cover vs. yours not having them, but for my own question, what do you think of these speakers? by looks alone, they are impressive. just curious on your thoughts...

I think they are awesome. I moved a pair of RTA-11t's to the side speakers and have the 15's upfront. The imaging is much better than the 11's and the bass is more pronounced. I love the RTA11's but the 15's are definitely a better speaker IMO. I thought they sounded a little too bright at high volumes with my Adcom amp, but I replaced the amp with a Carver and the sound mellowed out a bit. Great speakers!

I have a pair of 15 tl's, i think from '92', and they have no dust cover on the rear radiator.
I am the second owner, and the guy I bought them from is a friend who's owned them since new.
Great speaker. I'm waiting on a 797 Onkyo is sending out to replace a 676 that was junk.
Hope I have better luck with this one.
Any of you guys running a 797 without amps?

Well, that would be the first time I heard that. Actually, Even running on the 8 ohm side, I could push enough bass out of the 15's to be able to turn the sub off, and still have plenty.
IMO, Onkyo is right up with the best as far as good solid power goes. My problem with them, was the hissing and crosstalk. I did hear of someone having a problem with no low end one time, turned out they had the speakers set to small, and had sub set to "on" without actually having a sub hooked up.
I had to give them another $150 for the upgrade to the 797, but still only into it for a little over $700, a price crutchfield sure can't touch.

I guess I was thinking of an older pioneer I had that had the speaker switch!
I'm not sure if the 676 had an impedence selector or not.
Since its already gone to the junkpile, (to be re-incarnated as a re-furb), I cant go look at it.
Still got the center and surrounds scott?
