Why do I have to sign in every time?

This has happened in the past, but lately I’ve had to sign in each time I come on the forum. Only happens on my I-phone not on MacBook. It won’t remember me even tho the box is checked for remembering 30 days. Anybody know how I can figure this out? Thanks

Don't remove cookies before they have finished baking.

How do I do that on an I-phone 15? -
Settings > Safari > Advanced
Make sure you don’t have Block All Cookies “on.”

I'd use a hammer..... -
Block all cookies is not checked
-
Are you using private browsing? Also check the advanced side of the picture Brian posted to check.
Last effort would be to search "cookies" and see what the phone comes up with. -
Private browsing is checked. That’s beyond me. Should I uncheck? The weird thing is, I didn’t change anything before this sign in problem started
-
It’s checked on mine and I stay logged in.

Now it suddenly appears to be functioning properly again, without my having done anything. I will keep you apprised

It saw Ivan mention a hammer. 👍

Sounds like an ordinary day at Vanilla to me!

Now it’s back to making me sign in every time. Fer fox sake. Any other ideas, fellas?
-
Go into that Website Data area at the top of my print screen and see if there is any data related to polkaudio.com.
Are you running any extensions? (Settings > Safari > Extensions)

Are you a bot?
(sorry, probably not the best time for a joke!)

Also, how much memory do you have left? I wonder if it might be deleting cookies to save memory? That might be a stretch, though.

This is unlikely to be an iPhone 15 issue specifically. The iOS version is more relevant. Current version is 17.3.1. Incremental updates take just a few minutes. Major updates will take longer, but still less than an hour.
- Have you checked if you are sharing settings across devices (see screen grab below)?
- Have you checked if you are blocking all cookies?
- Are you using Safari or a different browser?
Shown below are some of my regular settings and advanced settings. I don’t experience any problems with having to sign in every time.

Private browsing would not keep cookies. Uncheck it and see if it changes. You may have gotten an update and it may have changed some things. It happens to me on Android sometimes. -

What do you mean Private browsing is checked?
There is an advanced setting for tracking and fingerprint protection that can be checked for private browsing, but it doesn’t mean you’re using private browsing. I would leave that setting checked (see below).
Private browsing requires a different session. The browsing tabs are stored separately from normal browsing tabs.
It might also be worth restarting your iPhone. They tend to get left on for many months without a reboot, but sometimes a restart can solve some issues.

I was not blocking all cookies. I use Safari. My settings seem to resemble yours. I deleted all history. Now it’s seemingly working again. I’m going to shut down and restart.
-
Not working again. Stopped at Verizon store and they thought Prevent Cross Site Tracking had been turned on by some kind of update but despite being turned off I still have to sign in every time on the I-phone although not on the MacBook. There’s no app for this forum, correct?
-
How frustrating.
I’m not using an app. Just have the “recent discussions” page saved to my Home Screen.

Incompetent advice, as usual from Verizon.
Cross site tracking should always be blocked unless you like targeted advertising and enriching Mark Zuckerberg — who has actually made a big deal of this.
Mine is blocked and I don’t have the issue.
There is, as you surmised, no app for the Polk forum.

This thread has put me to mind of Bruce Cockburn's great song Pacing the Cage.I've proven who I am so many times
The magnetic strip's worn thin
And each time I was someone else
And everyone was taken in
Powers chatter in high places
Stir up eddies in the dust of rage
Set me to pacing the cage

It just occurred to me: are you using keychain? Using keychain and Face ID will store your forum login information and allow you to login easily, even if you are not able to stay logged in for 30 days for whatever reason.
You can enable it in your Apple ID profile, under iCloud settings. There is no charge for basic iCloud services.Alea jacta est! -
Im not using keychain but Ill give it a shot. Thanks.

Once you start, there’s no turning back! 😂
It’s extremely convenient to use, and if you’re signing in to your Mac using the same Apple ID as your iPhone, any password added on either device will be available on the other. In fact, passwords for the same website (such as a bank) and app will be shared between the two, so you don’t have to create them separately.
Your passwords will meet the strictest password requirements (although you can also manually add simpler passwords instead). It becomes easy to not use the same passwords over and over.
Some websites don’t play nice (they don’t allow keychain to fill in the password), but there aren’t very many of those that I’ve encountered.
It’s really a game changer in my opinion.Alea jacta est!
