Reunited and it feels so good: Rotel RB1590 Amplifier

It feels good to be reunited with an old friend. Well not really since this amp is a current model and I’ve never actually owned this particular model. I’m a long time Rotel fan and this amp company has been part of my amp journey since the beginning. Started off with the Rotel RB1070 as my first separate component (along with the RC1070 preamp) after upgrading from my Harman Kardon receiver (which was an upgrade from my Yamaha receiver). Then somehow while in college I was able to move up to the big boy Rotel RB1090 amplifier.
Had that amp for a while because it was my end game amp at that time. Lost it at some point as I upgraded to a Plinius SA102 thereafter.
But I never lost my fondness of the company.
Saw the release of the RB1590 a few years ago and I promised to buy one and add to my collection someday.
Received one in the mail the other day. Wife told me there was something big on the porch and that she couldn’t lug it in… “what is it anyway?”
Hoping to have some good sessions with this beast.

I’ve never had the privilege of hearing any of the upper level Rotel gear, but I’ve had a cd player and stereo receiver that I enjoyed very much.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -
I currently run the little brother, RB-1582 MKII.
The 1590 has been on my list of “need to buy”, but got out of spending on audio for many years and it just hasn’t happened.
I’m peaking my head back in and it’s still near the top of my list of amps to add to my system.
Joey, I’m very interested to hear your thoughts on this amp. -

I see that now he says something about covering the dumb 3% fee PP. I would have passed on that too. People should be using PP F&F or Zelle, **** PP and their dumb fees.
I see that the 1590 you got is "only" 84lb, compared to the S5's whopping 132lb. Good lord. -

The 1590 also looks like a beast. Should be interesting to compare it to that giant Classe Delta amp you got there.
