Carver A500x for SDA SRS3.1TL

Options
Found a used Carver A500x amp near me. Want to use it to power my Polk SDA SRS 3.1TLs via the pre-out on my Yamaha A3080. Does it have a common ground amp to keep the SDA speakers active? Is it a good quality reliable amp that will be an improvement over my 150w/ch Yamaha? The outer M10s are gone, just for an a-b when I 1st got the SDAs.bl6nrhn0p20j.jpg

Yes it is common ground, it should work nicely.

I used to own an A500x and drove a pair of SDA-1C's before I got my 3.1tl's. It will definitely work.
Just note the Carver "A' series amps came out after Bob Carver was pushed out of the company and do not have the Transfer Function Modification circuitry. So they sound very different from the "TFM" series.
Do you have the crossfeed cable with the 3.1's?
