POLK rta 11t, 15t or monitor 70

I own the rta-11t for long years. and i have a good deal for the monitor 70 is it an improvement? also, are the rta-15t much better? thanks!

Never heard the 11T.

The 15TL I have, it has a large presentation and a much better tweeter, but with the rear passive radiator they need to be out in the room otherwise the bass is boomy.

Never heard the Monitor 70, but due to being a ported speaker I have to imagine they will have a very different sound than either vintage model. Probably a better home theater speaker than music speaker.

Last year I did the TL upgrade for my friends RTA 11T's. For reference, well upgraded RTA 11T's make my M7B's sound like a small ghetto blaster in comparison. No exaggeration.
Since then I picked up a pair of RTi-A9's (very nice).
The 11's have a much more convincing near field presence than even the A9's under the same 100w power source and volume (RX-V2090).
The A9's will trounce the M11's in larger venues (25x25 or larger I would estimate).
As @f1nut mentioned, the different era speakers will have distinct characteristics, but if the monitor 70's can't keep up with the A9's, I would personally prefer the 11's.
For rooms smaller than 25x25 I would prefer the 11's over the A9's.
As for the RTA 15's, never seen or heard them but I bet they are awesome.
