guys i have a momo 500.1 which puts out 350 at 4ohms, i wanna hook up 2 speakers at 4 ohms does that mean i need 2 speakers that can both handle 175w rms or 350rms i dun wanna get speakers which are 2ohm yet cause as u guys know they cost a lot more and being in univ right now i gotta wait a bit. Also i have a infinity 6000cs component system but one of the speakers makes a cracking noise once it gets to high volumes i was wondering is thier neway to fix that, its not the wiring its definetly the speaker. my friend knows someone who can get a pair of momo mm6's just the spekers for a good price...if i cant fix the 6000cs if i connect the 2 momo speakers to the infinity crossover is it gonna sound ne good with a alpine 50x4 deck?
thanx a lot guys

Your amp puts out 350x1 or 500x2. If you hook up 2, 4 ohm subs they will be getting 250 each.

Definitely dump the Infinitys. Way too bright for any kind of music. However dont run the MM6 off of deck power only. That is way too little power. Your deck claims 50x4 but its actually a mere 15-20x4 of dirty watts. If you arent going to get an amp then I dont recommend getting the Momos.

Dude, trust me. I aint trying to lead ya astray.

If you are wanting to use 2 subs then you have three options.

    2 4-ohm subs wired parallel for a 2 ohm (500x1/250x2) load
    2 8-ohm subs wired parallel for a 4 ohm (350x1/175x2) load
    2 2-ohm subs wired series for a 4 ohm (350x1/175x2) load

Your amps manual should have diagrams that explain a 4 ohm and 2 ohm wiring scheme.

If money is your concern then go for one, dual 4 ohm voice coil sub and that will run the amp at a 2 ohm load (2 4-ohm voice coils wired in parallel) and the single sub will be getting 500 watts!

    Scouts honor!
