R200 Anniversary or L200

Need to bring in another Polk into the collection considering I just sold my LSiM703. I’m thinking between these two speakers - the R200AE appeals because it seems like a special edition, but I believe the L200 is a better speaker overall. What would you choose or recommend between the two?
Thx

Hey guys.
I think what he posted was sincere. Polk was one of his earlier speakers that he had, some moons ago.
I moved on from Polk as well but there is special something, to still own one. I have been on a search for Polk bookies myself.
No harm. No foul.
I have been wanting the R200AE or L200 myself. I will one own one of them. How about you buy one and I buy one. Whatever is prefered we make a fair trade?
I do not have expectations either will be better than what I currently have. I want one or the other anyways.

Left speaker R200AE; Right speaker R200......
Go for the R200AE

There don't appear to be many of the R200AE available now so may want to buy now or they'll be gone.

Has anyone compared the two speakers and is there enough of a difference between the L200 and R200AE?
I have seen YouTube reviews comparing the R200 and the R200AE and they said they can’t hear a difference. But I’m not sure if maybe it’s just because they can’t hear period.Magico, JL, Emm, ARC Ref 10 line, ARC Ref 10 phono, VPI, Lyra, Boulder, AQ Wel, SRA Scuttle Rack, Bluesound -

I felt the L200 sounded better vs the R200. The R200 is solid but, the L is more open, better defined in the upper range but, depending on what's driving it, can get a hair harsh if pushed too hard. From my understanding the R200 and the R200AE are the same guts and from what I have been told, no difference on sound. I have not heard the AE version so I can only go on what I was told.Klipsch The Nines, Audioquest Thunderbird Interconnect, Innuos Zen MK3 W4S recovery, Revolution Audio Labs USB & Ethernet, Border Patrol SE-I, Audioquest Niagara 5000 & Thunder, Cullen Crossover II PC's.

I had both the L200 and the R200 at the same time and Ernie is correct the L200 was clearly better than the R200 in my rig. I think I wrote a short review at some point and discussed the difference. As with Ernie, I have not heard the R200AE but if there is no diff in sound between the R200 and the AE it would be an easy choice for me.

The right deal? The money you throw around on audio, and the L200's at $1500.00 is too much? -

That is a good deal refurbished or not, I have had really good luck with Polk Refurbished Items.
Do they still have their eBay Store? Haven't looked in a long time..
There you go Joey, -

There you go Joey,
I've purchased a few speakers from Polk as refurbs, indistinguishable from brand new. -
