Proper Setup for the RM6750 Subwoofer & Monitor 5 speakers

I recently received the subwoofer from the RM6750. I still have the same Monitor 5 speakers that I bought my twenties. I have them both hooked up to a Marantz NR1200. This has a a low pass filter setting. I have it connected using the subwoofer input on the NR1200. Can anyone tell me what would be the best setting for this and the sub?

    Hello,
Welcome to the Polk forum. I found the owner's manual for your receiver and there seems to be two subwoofer connections, you can use either or both of the connections to the corresponding connections on the sub. Adjust the variable low pass filter, on the sub, to the highest setting. There doesn't seem to be any adjustments on the receiver to the sub-out frequency that I can find.

Looks like your Marantz low pass filter for the subwoofer channel can be adjusted from 40Hz to 250Hz, in 10 settings. What sounds best will probably be something you have to determine by trial and error and will probably be room and sub placement dependent. Edit - Maybe the system that subwoofer was part of had a high pass for the satellites of 150Hz so the subwoofer may only be designed to not go much higher than that? Speculating here based upon this other thread:
