I've got 2 power hungry mono blocks that require KT-120s or equivalent/applicable. I'd like to stay with the 120s so, today I ordered a matched quad at approx 100% more than what I paid 2 years ago, prior to the "conflict/sham"

Many tubes are 25% off current prices . . . some are 33% off. IMHO, best deal you'll find for quite a while

    one thing I appreciate about the design of my amp, is that they seem to be very . . . very easy on valves (slow start and shut down). Meaning they last longer than one would expect them to.

    AND I don't rag on the volume control . . . well ... once in a while when Frankenstein comes on

    For instance, my monos were upgraded to DARK 3 years ago this week and I'm still running the same KT-120 power tubes
    Roughly 5 hours per day 5-6 days per week (for 3 yrs) . . . 3700 hours minimum

    KT-120 valves sound strong and maintain bias . . . .

    I don't think so . . .a while ago, I spoke to Nick at Rogue and he said the lower KT family was ok . . .
    88 / 90 / 77 / 6550 and EL 34 but never mentioned those ones

    He's a wealth of info and forthcoming . . . I wish they'd make more public comments on their site
