The first time I sat down at it I discovered how off the height and sitting position of my old desk was. The ability to stand and work on stuff sealed the deal for me.

Following. I need a primer on this as well. -
The only part you have open access to is the input selector switch at the rear. A light application of gold there should be more than enough. You can also wipe a little gold on the RCA jacks.Political Correctness'.........defined

Hard to say as I'm not familiar with that particular pot, mine was different. It appears to be completely sealed, but take a look for any holes you can get some fluid into. Otherwise, remove the nut/washer holding the pot in place then apply a few drops at the base of the shaft with the pot facing up. Turn the shaft back and forth to hopefully work the fluid into the pot.
Edit: I forgot to mention previously when doing the RCA jacks apply a small amount of gold in the hole. A foam tipped applicator works well.Political Correctness'.........defined

^^^ +1 (FWIW)
The mobility of cleaning solution products like DeOxit (D5) is so high, it can usually find a way in to most controls, IMO and IME, sealed or not. Just like dust.
Sometimes it just takes patience and time. I've plenty of the former, although the latter's still a development area for me. At any rate, if one uses the "hit and hope" (or is that spray and pray?) approach, clean up excesses.
