Gravity Probe B is built and soon to be launched into space. Lockheed Martin's Advanced Technology Center in Palo Alto, CA built it with work being done by Stanford University and NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center. This project has been in the works for a long time and it looks pretty fricking spectacular! I can't wait to find out what they find out!

Einstein produced in 1916 a new theory of gravity, interpreted not as a force but as a "field" distorting space and time. The planets in their courses, which seem to us to be moving in elliptic orbits around the Sun, are in reality following straight lines ("geodesics") through curved space-time.

I don't understand it and I think my head just exploded.

Amazing, all those minds and years, testing the theory of one brilliant man.

Who is this 'Einstein' guy? Sounds like he's on dope.

What? Where's the flux capacitor in all this, and why 88 miles/hour? Stupid clock tower.....

This is amazing stuff for sure. I took Physical Chemistry in college which dealt with a lot of particle physics and stuff and felt like my head was going to explode. This was a very intangible subject for me.

How on earth did these minds come up with these theories back then still behooves me.

I'm very curious to their findings and am staying tuned.

F*** that! Too boring for me. I say we hit maximum warp drive, sling shot around the sun and bring back some whales to repopulate the species.

Orbiting the earth...bahhhh...no fun in that!

    No excuses!
