Hey guys, I'm loving my new 7's - had them for a week and on the right recordings I'm drowning in a deep and refined soundstage.

My question is for the guys who have a bunch of the lsi7's - are you using one for the center channel in HT? Tell me your thoughts!
Tim

Personally, i think that the LSi7 would be too weak as a center. For the piece in your HT that's going to do over 50% of the work, I'd want to have as big a center as possible.......

The benefit to using that would be that you'll have a totally matching front soundstage, so that's a good thing.....only question is how long you see yourself keeping the 7's as your front mains and if you plan to upgrade to something larger at a later date.....

Timothy, that's not a bad idea... The 7's sound awesome in two channel. I wouldn't doubt that they'd do just fine working in a HT as a center.

if i used the lsi7's as a center, i would use a pair of them. i think one might be a little too small, despite the great sound they have (wish i could hear them)

So Sami, looks like you have three 7's in front, tell me your thoughts on how the center handles in 5.1. Does it work well off-axis? I imagine that in the sweet-spot the imaging is seamless.

Haven't played with the LSi's that much, the centre blocks the picture a little bit. But it sounds good so far. Those three RTi's work great together so I don't expect the LSi's to be any worse. For pure HT I would leave the RTi's in but LSi's are so much better for music that I'll move them to living room for casual listening and put the LSi's for HT and 2 channel duty. It will be 5 * LSi7 and SVS PCU unless I can find another LSi7 for 7.1.
