10B - MW6503 issue

Picked up a nice pair of 10B's recently. Did some research on upgrades and came across the magnet problem threads. After reading through that info, I went and pulled the drivers out of the cabs. All 4 look good and move freely without any rubbing/scratching. The problem is that one of the drivers measures open when testing for resistance.

Toasted or broken voice coil?

Thanks!

Bummer! It does measure when the cone is depressed but opens when released.

Check the tinsel leads from the terminal block to the cone/voice coil.

So the next option would be? Find someone that has one for sale - Ebay/CL/FB, etc. or park the cabinets and build the 7's (cabinet and xover).

Those connections look good. I may pop the dust cap and see what is under there.
