    I'll say it again, the only great sounding set of 10's I've heard were converted to SDA's. But that doesn't mean a @westmassguy modded set of factory 10's wouldn't sound very good with the lobing issue nixed.

    I'm certainly no expert but I can say that when I did the @westmassguy mod and added cabinet bracing, my 10's became totally different speakers. I have a set of modded 7b's also and my go to speaker is definitely the 10's. In my room and to my ears they are better.

    Or for the possibility that a side mounted PR sounds weird, a trapezoidal shaped tower enclosure could be CNC'd with the back wider than the front baffle and the PR could be mounted in the rear.

    When I had my 7Bs horizontally oriented and mirror imaged by hanging them from chains up near the ceiling I never got the imaging that I had and now have when I put them vertically oriented on floor stands. Wouldn't the 10s have vertical lobing, which admittedly would not damage the soundstage as much?
