Monitor 5/7 vs. Optimus 27?

There's an old post in here, but has anyone compared them?

A guy in PA near Pittsburgh has a pair for $100.

I can't justify it, but I'm REALLY curious how they compare. Is it a floorstanding 5 competitor? Or 7?

And I wonder if the tweeter is compatible with Polk's Peerless models...

    They are intriguing. Maybe you could give them to your father and hold onto the 5Bs.

    I like the non parallel front and back and the possibilities of less effect upon midrange from internal cabinet reflections/standing waves.

    Also I like the way they clamp the drivers at the flange perimeter where they are strongest and that way they aren't getting localized flexural issues that you get when you screw them to the baffle where the steel is less rigid. This is done with many high power PA speaker rigs according to my friend who was in the business years ago.
