sda srs 1.2 TL ohm readings

Having some issues with my hca 3500 amp powering these speakers. For a while 1 side always seems a bit hotter than the other. I have had an amplifier shop check and confirm the bias was right. However the problem persists.

More importantly once channel started to just drop and i was barely getting any volume out of it all of a sudden.

Amp guy has checked it all out and said nothing seem to be wrong with distortion or over heating etc. all relays check pretty clean.

Wondering if there is problem with these speakers? I have them modded based on stuff on this forum. Including the large inductor coil on the low end based on DK's stuff.
What should the ohm readings be.

On both sides i am get 2.8/2.9 with and without the crossover cable connected. Which i recall seems to be right.

Should i get an ohm reading on the crossover cable? I pulled one side out and put the ohm meter on it and got 0. Did the other side and got the same thing.

Did you remove the polyswitch when you upgraded the crossovers?

The 3500 is dual mono. There's no mention of a dreadnought are you using one?

i upgraded the crossover back in 2010 around that time period. yeah fairly certain i removed the poly switches.

the 3500 is dual mono but its common ground or whatever is needed. i checked on this with parasound or DK or someone on here and decided i didnt need a dreadnought.

Things have been working fine the last 10+ years. The only issue i needed to have fixed in the past was the amp had some corossion on some of the relays causing distortion. I also had the amp guy hardwire it to bypass rca at ALL times because i didnt use it. so the toggle switch was removed from the circuit.

I suggest you confirm you removed the polyswitch. While you have the crossover out check for loose connections, cold solder joints, etc.

Since the amp is still in the shop. I plugged the speakers into a different amp and they sound fine.
Is there such a thing as speakers warming up during a listening session and perhaps something in the crossover that is failing starts to act up once it gets warm?
Trying to confirm everything I can before I start opening things up.

I used gimpods boards when I rebuilt these and i bypasses the polyswitch and used a piece of wire.

I would say your tech has missed something in the amp, if another amp is powering the speakers without any problems.

its really hard to find electronic repair places anymore. seems to me he is the last one around in KC.
called another place and they said they were backlogged a year.

Anyone know any electronic repair places in the Kansas City area?

Could be a FET getting ready to fail. I had one that did that exact thing right before it failed. I'd send it to Parasound personally.

The ohm reading for the SRS 1.2TL are in this attachment. I got these from Ken Swauger.

    what is a FET?

It is a type of transistor that your amp uses. it has matched pairs in the input stage.

Have you tried Vinyl Renaissance? I think they have a decent tech in house.
