    A long, long time ago, when we had first moved to Massachusetts, I was on the organizing committee of the "Boston Glycobiology Discussion Group", which had just been reorganized after a hiatus. We had our first monthly meeting of the reorganized group at the MIT faculty club (nice place, with a great view) and I gave a talk, along with a couple of other folks. I couldn't attend the second meeting, but I had asked someone in my lab to give a talk at it. Dinner was served. Fish. A bit after dinner, Anne-Marie began her presentation. First one, then a few folks left the room. Turned out... yes... at least some of the fish had... issues. About half of the attendees ended up in the bathrooms that evening. Anne-Marie, luckily, didn't get sick.

    I was kind of glad I missed it.
