R.I.P. some great tunes of my childhood.

It's only going to get faster in the next few years. Sadly there's no getting around it

Dream Weaver and herb... was like peanut butter and jelly. :D

I had a close friend who played the keyboard/s.

Gary Wright's songs were awesome on his system as he played the keyboard sections live. Good times!

    RIP Gary.

Love is Alive.. another of his hits.

If you don't own 'The Dream Weaver' on vinyl...you should.

Kind of a one-hit wonder (ok, we'll give him two, per the post immediately above ;)) -- but a significant one for those of us of a certain age. And they were very good pop/rock songs; very much of their time in terms of recording and instrument technology and lyric content.

This is my long winded way of saying it was sad to read last night of his death.

In my business, in both clinical and nonclinical (i.e., animal) studies, we use a graphical analytical tool called a survival curve to track the effect of a therapeutic intervention (e.g., a new drug candidate) vs. control or the current standard of care to look for statistically meaningful improvements that can be attributed to the therapy.

I mention this because, sooner or later, the survival curves always, always end up at the same place -- zero (survival). :(
It is just the rate that may change. :|

Inexorably, "our" generation's nearing the "zero" point for our survival curve.
    :disappointed:
