I had an old Magnify One Soundbar and subwoofer (Soundbar that was broken). I bought a new soundbar (Bose Smartsoudbar) and want to connect it to a Bose soundbar It has a bass output with an AUX cable. I connected the AUX cables and I saw a solid green light on the Sub input but no Sound bass form Subwoofer. The question is, can I continue like this or not. Or what do I have to do to make it work?
Thank you

Hello,
I'm checking with Polk to see if a line level input can be used with that subwoofer. Normally a subwoofer used with a soundbar has a wireless connection. I'll let you know when I have an answer. -
Thank you very much for your time and assistance in this matter.

Here is the response from Polk:
"He can connect it using the line level input but his bar needs an adjustable line level output." -
Thank you very much for your help. But I'm not sure what the adjustable line level output is? I'm guessing it's a preamp or something like that? But I hope to be able to use the subwoofer.

I believe the next step is to check with Bose and find out how you activate the "bass" output of the soundbar. There might be a setup choice you have to make as well as ask how you raise and lower the bass output.

I found the answer on the forum. Someone Tried to Connect a Bose Bar to a Third Party Subwoofer It doesn't work. It's because Bose has blocked it. It's so bad that I just bought it thinking it had a bass jack. But someone tried to modify the cable by supplying 2.5 v. to the left channel. To trick the bar into thinking it's a Bose product is a tricky method and risks problems with the warranty. I am a bit disappointed with bose. I should have bought a Polk soundbar but in my country there is no Dolby Amos compatible model. Thanks again.

Sorry, that's a shame. Where do you live?

I live in Thailand.
Polk Thailand distributors are difficult to contact and unable to answer my questions. I love Polk basses and have used them for long time. It just broke down There is a popping sound from the speakers intermittently. I sent it to the dealer and was told he didn't have parts.
I'm actually interested in the POLK AUDIO SIGNA S4, which costs the same as Bose, but it's not for sale in Thailand. and it's daunting to have to order from China. I keep missing Polk's bass. -
I would like to ask another question. Is the Polk subwoofer's aux input digital or analog?
-
I'll check with a friend at Polk to see if you can buy a Sign S4 directly. The subwoofer's input is analog.

It has been suggested that this link should help:

Analog Input is good news, I may be able to use the sub with another sound system.
for the page you recommend. I contacted this page first to inquire about problems and Polk products. But there was no response. Page link to website http://polkaudio.co.th/ is not accessible. Therefore I am not confident in the services of this page. I now have a Bose Bar thinking I'll have to live with it for a while.
Thank you for your excellent help.
