I've been a Parrot Head since I first heard the songs on albums "Living and Dying in 3/4 Time", "Latitudes and Attitudes", and especially the song "A Pirate Looks at Forty" on "A1A".

I saw him live for the first time at the Berkley Auditorium in 1976. The song "I Live on A Big Round Ball" is still in my mind from that concert. Then many concerts after that one with friends. During the pandemic, he was my main listen!

Being a sailor and enjoying the ocean was the perfect path for me to his music. He will be missed.
"Sometimes you have to look to the past to understand where you are going in the future"

“Fa sol sol la la fa sol la ... " ~ a soul-stirring sound that is at once alluring and haunting surges through the room as their voices rise and merge. First they sing the notes, then the words from the Sacred Harp hymnal, which was first published in 1844. Sacred Harp a singing tradition that dates back nearly to the founding of the nation.

I read this story earlier this week:

On August 29, Jimmy Buffett shared a video to TikTok (@jimmybuffett) of his pack of cute puppies enjoying a day at the beach. It's adorable and definitely worth the watch. Take a look.

So true. I saw Chicago last night at our local fair. Great show as always but the 3 remaining original members are pushing 80.

    RIP Jimmy.

Jimmy Buffett is the sole person who aspired me to be a professional beach bum.

    Thanks for the great tunes.

Jimmy Buffett was a unique one for me. I liked , but didn’t love his music, yet I was a big fan of his but necessarily of his music.

Sorry to hear of his passing and especially to see that it was a four year battle with cancer. That was, most likely, a hard way to go.
