I have a 14x18 carpeted room. I'm using a Yamaha RX-V379 A/V amp/receiver.
My budget affords me the opportunity to buy 2 ES-50 and an ES-30 setup or 2 XT-70 and an XT-30. I will not be using a sub-woofer at this time. I may add rear satellites at a later date.
We listen to rock, jazz, movies and this will also be primary sound for TV. Any thoughts, comments or feedback on these 2 choices (or alternate suggestions) will be welcome and appreciated. Thanks

I have tried a set of Klipsch RP8000 and was impressed tell I sat down, way to directional and ended up using Polk Monitor 10b. The 10b is a fantastic speaker for movies! With side by side 6 inch mids , the direction is super wide and great high end. Low end is really good but a sub would really finish the package if you want the walls to shake. 10b's are a affordable vintage Polk Audio speaker thay won't disappoint.
