Anybody have first hand experience with Decware products? I'm not in the market but just found out they're located 2 miles down the road from me! Will definitely consider them on my next purchase.

Yup.
Steve Deckert's amps do sound good, but way (way!) too much hype from him (and his sycophants) -- and way, way too much money for what they are.
In his early days, Deckert's stuff was cheap and a good value. Not no mo'.
Just my opinions.
I have an SE-84B from back in the cheap days, FWIW.

We are pretty close to one another it seems. @dr1978, I'm 45 mins from Peoria. -
Well, I had no clue they were in East Peoria.

Interesting...appreciate the direct opinions. He does have a "DecFest" coming up that I might check out so I can give his gear a listen. Post up details if you have them. I'm in Morton. Maybe us locals can all get together for it.

Sort of like our daughter's undergrad alma mater (Georgetown): No matter where one is on that campus, the next place one needs to go is uphill from one's current location.
This is even weirder than it sounds when one considers that Washington, DC is very, very flat.

Truer words have never been spoken. But the same holds true for most of these midwestern states.

When is Decfest? (Guess I could look but I’m a lazy a$$)
I’m a bit over 2 hours from Peoria and Rich isn’t too far away either. Would be cool to have a gang of our own sycophants in attendance.
I don’t find his prices out of line. Compare his finished and fully tested units to Bottlehead prices of kits. I’d prefer to build but if that’s not your gig a local supplier is rather nice.Aaron

I haven’t found a lot of details for this year’s event, but there’s a thread on their forum about it. It is October 6-8 and registration (via FB) is limited to 100. According to an August 28 post, there were only 7 spots remaining.

I think you should have a Bottlefest, Aaron!
