Congrats and you're welcome. I've got a 20-39PC+ sitting in my office right now - a local borrowed unit used for comparison during the PB2-Ultra review. It really digs deeper than sin in the stock tune, and hits hard too. Nice to have one gracing the household again; I missed its menacing looks.

PM me with any set-up questions, and give your ears time to adjust to bass this accurate (the midrange will sound the most different) and deep. Calibrate flat or even a bit cool for music, and maybe a tad hot for HT.

Indeed, the entire presentation has changed ... and for the better. It's not just the flat, clean, articulate, extended & forceful bass response (and trust me, that would have been enough), but it's also the effect that it's had on how my polks sound in the theater; the entire range of frequency has opened up and cleared up. The theater sounds pure, elegant even. A subwoofer of this class has more benefits than I would have imagined.

I've only watched three or four movies with her, and none of the basshead flicks, and so she's shined so very brightly without the advantage of having me toss fastballs down the middle at her. I'm enjoying the more subtle benefits she brings, to this point -- although I did have to run the ring drop at her. Scary, and I mean that. It sounded like something horrible was happening outside, perhaps a huge beast from a Japanese monster movie walking down the street. I was literally frightened for a couple of seconds before I realized that it was the SVS -- This is a gift that will continue to give.

Frankly, I enjoy the cylinder's look and placement advantage. I'd say that I prefer a cylinder to a box (nothing Freudian, trust me). I even like the feel of the fabric which covers her ... perhaps too much, but that's neither here nor there.

Wow - glad you are loving the 20-39C+.

As you have already keenly observed, the subtle benefits of great bass are SO important to the overall presentation of music or theater.

I read similar sentiments all the time. Once owner's get past the "ring drop" or "U-571", they realize how satisfying ALL music and movies can be with a great sub, not just the big hitters.

Trust me, I know exactly where you're coming from on the look/feel of the cylinders. There is something special about the ominous black "tower of power"; you'll find yourself stealing a glance at it whenever you walk into the room. It's the centerpiece and foundation of your entire system; without it, nothing else can perform to its fullest potential.
