Hey all! It's been a while. Nice to see some of the old-timer names still around!!!
Just had to pop on to see if anyone here has seen or heard of anyone using a lithium based power station to power a HiFi or HT system. I had recently bought a couple of units from EcoFlow (for other uses) that easily output enough power, but after a couple quick searches didn't find a whole lot on the subject. I fully intend to try it myself soon, but was just curious if there were any personal experiences here at Ol' Club Polk.
My interest is kind of two fold. One I'm curious if there will be a marked improvement in my 2ch rig due to the power from the inverter likely being cleaner than from the utility. Secondly, I'm thinking it would be a nice way of dealing with the obviously weak power to my HT rig. Granted, the HT rig isn't a big concern, as over the years I've just grown to not care much about HT in general, but on occasion I'll throw in a concert DVD and want to crank it, and due to being on a circuit that is only 15A and roughly 80ft from the breaker box, it will dim the lights on the bass hits. Seeing as these units can basically be used like a big capacitor, it should make for a nice improvement.
Looking forward to hearing any thoughts on the subject!
Specific Unit I'm talking about: https://us.ecoflow.com/products/delta-2-max-portable-power-station?variant=40538145095753
