I like how he's seemingly kind of CYA in the description...maybe "reissued". I've not seen that logo before. I'm not saying they're fake, I've not seen that. I have some 12ax7 BB's it's definitely trumpet like. I've also seen the disc getters, I've not seen that structure before. Truth be told I have nothing that uses that tube so I've not researched them.

I believe Richardson electronics bought amperex and relabeled a lot of tubes. They also bought cetron, I have some cetron 3b22 rectifiers that came in Richardson electronics boxes.

Bugle Boy was an American marketing tool. I don't use 6922 tubes which were introduced after the 12A*7 signal tubes. Only the very early 6922's had the Bugle Boy logo.

Since I am not familiar with the 6922, I can't say. Anytime you see a tube that has pristine graphics but it's supposed to be old, be suspicious.

In it's day it may have been a BB 6922 and re-labeling, while suspicious, may just be what it is...re-labeling of a long worn label.

Unless you're 100% sure, just move on to the next pair.

I don't see the cross hatch on top of the tube. It appears on the photo's the bottom of the tube is tapered or "pinched". I don't see any etched codes in the pictures. This is in comparison to the older 1959 versions. Perhaps later versions had a slightly different build.

Yeah. Sometimes fake tubes are okay, and other times they exhibit strange performance characteristics.
    I disabled signatures.
