I just got my first pair of SDA's-the 2A's- My Sansui AU 717 is in the shop for a restoration-The Harmon Kardon is rated for 35 watts per channel @ 4ohms. I wouldn't intend to use the HK for a long and permanent period but would anybody discourage the temporary use of the HK until I got the Sansui back from the shop

    I'd use it.

    I'd also put an ohmmeter between the negative terminals of the two channels to verify common-groundedness.

    It's almost certainly compatible, but better to check.
