Had a house fire that sooted out everything in the house. The insurance company is paying me for all the stuff, including the Model 10s. I can keep still keep the Model 10s if I choose too.
The 10s were not damaged, still work fine, just need cleaning.
If I wanted new Polk speakers, what models would be as good or better than the 10s in a price range up to $1000 to $1500

If the M10’s work just fine then if it were me, I’d wait patiently for Polk’s next 50% off sale and get the best Legend series or Reserve series you can afford. Who knows, maybe there will be a friends and family sale pretty soon. If not they sometimes have one later in the year. Others can better comment on which specific model based on your specific set-up. But you are in the enviable position to be able to wait.

Would I be disappointed with a pair of ES60s?

If you have up to $1500, and you wait until 50% off sale, you can do much better.

Just get a Polk-lexa soundbar and a subwoofer.Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists.
