Tannoy Speakers?

Went into one of my local hi-fi dealer tonight to listen to some klipsch rf-35's,never heard klipsch speakers before,had them connected to a denon 3805 and a b&k 5 channel amp,used a denon 2200 for the reference player,was not impressed at all,ab them with some bostons and really liked the bostons sound stage.The owner then decided that i needed to hear some tannoy speakers with arcam seperates,wow i was impressed,the sounstage was amazing,these are the eyris series,they have what he called a super tweeter mounted on top and another tweeter in the top midrange,called it dual concentric or something,could not get over the clearity in the high's and the seperation and detail these speakers had.Anyone else ever heard these speakers?

Read reviews and what not. I have NO dought that they sound very good. Very nice looking speakers to boot.

Tannoy's been in business before I was even born.....they are one of the older speaker manufacturers in england, Ive seen them in my Dad's collection of catalogues.....Dual concentric has been there since the 60's I think. They still have the same design principles and their products look much like they did back then, more like funiture than speakers. Richness and beauty. Where did u demo them? I havent had the opportunity to do so. Lucky you!
Other "older" manufacturers: Celestion (quality of products so-so now), Wharfedale, Fane (now only PA and DIY speakers) and Electrovoice. Thats all I remember right now, must be a ton of em still out there thriving.

I demoed these at Sound&vision in Akron,ohio.They are a fairly new dealer as of last year,but have a very wide selection of products and some very nice display rooms.They have a website it is www.soundandvisionohio.com Well i guess it isnt up yet!
