Want to learn more

I'm still fairly new to the concept of home theater. I know the basics but I want learn more about everything. I am upgrading my system and will be purchasing a reciever and DVD player in the next year or so. Any suggestions on books or other literature will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
