SDA SRS Crossover parts list

Im getting ready to order all the caps and resistors for my SRS blade blade crossovers and would like comments and suggestions from those who have experience. I plan to do caps and resistors using original board with an added board holding the large caps. I will leave the inductors in place aside from the 16 mh I have already replaced with Jantzen C coil. Attached is everything needed. The components were chosen with a reasonable budget in mind. Thoughts, corrections, suggestions welcome.

I’m not seeing your attached components….
Interested in your choices and what you think of the sound difference you hear or not hear.

After doing a lot of research I decided on the tried and true that others have done here.
I got too tied up with reading all the differences in the resistors & caps from all the boutique manufacturers that my head started to spin.
Ended up with the Solen caps at non-critical points, Sonic Craft caps & milks resistors.

As F1 has said many times… they have all the values needed.

    Bahahaaaa….
    Milks resistors.

The Clarity Caps were one’s I was contemplating along with Dueland resistors.

You leave out the 750 pF caps? Remove them? Leave them in?
I was advised to use Clarity’s for hi pass and Solen for low pass. Solen has the hard to get values and 250v so a bit smaller. I don’t think 400v is really needed is it?

Clarity and duelund is a great combo

    Sure, they work all over.

If you want to go crazy but still reasonable you can do the cmr for the highs and csa for the mids.... Will sound awesome

    👍🏻
    What resistors specifically ?
I had settled on Vishay Mills as Mills don’t cover the values needed but….made in mexico?
What else is available and has a proven thumbs up ? Which Duelund? Therolike 4.

Should I leave those 750pF caps in place or leave them out?

Last I checked duelund only makes the cast 10 watts... The standard would be new old stock but they can make any value you want.

Path audio is easily one of, if not the best resistor on the market right now

So I got confirmation on removing the 750pf caps from the circuit.

Cant find 92 uF caps for hi pass except Solen. I wanted to use stick with Clarity on hi pass. Should I use Solen 92’s or I can get to 90 or 94 with Clarity? Or is there something better?

They go bye bye, no longer needed with the better caps.

    Sweet 2x47 it is. Thanks!
Now decide on $350 for Path or $120 for V Mills. 🤔

After hours of trying to find the right values, considering price, avail stock, quality and recommendations I ordered
Clarity CSA caps for hi pass
    Solen for low pass
    Path resistors for 22.5 ohm
    Mills for 2.7, 7.5, and 15 ohm
    What do you think?

Having trouble finding Path 22.5. Parts Connextion cant give me lead time. Hi fi Collective has only 22’s.
What if I use 22’s for T2 and T3 ? Do you think thats a mess? Do you know where else I can try to get them?

On Sda srs…Which tweeters are which as far as top to bottom physical placement in the cabinet to T 1-3 number and freq cutoff?

The 22.5 ohm Path Audio resistors are a special order item with a 10 or 20 minimum quantity, I don't remember which. Just use the tried and true Mills.

On the srs the second from the bottom is the main tweeter

I believe path special order minimum is 10

The answer is in the schematic. T3 gets the widest bandwidth and goes the lowest. T2 goes all the way up but not as low as T3. T1 and T4 are limited in how high they can go with T4 having the lowest bandwidth of all four tweeters. I'm not electronics guy so somebody correct me if this is wrong. Manual says 2kHz is the lowest any tweeters go because that is where the stereo drivers start to play.....that freq. and lower. I don't know what the other rolloff freqs are for the other tweeters. Couldn't find that info. PS: Julian Hirsch in Stereo Review Nov 1985 says "presumably" only one driver is in use above 10kHz. FWIW. I think two are.
