(4) RTR 7.5 IPS Classical Tapes - Beethoven, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Strauss

These tapes are from my dad's collection, and have very little wear...been sitting on a shelf for 15-20 years. I have play-tested them, and they all sound very nice to me, and consistent with other 7.5 IPS tapes I have heard.

I appreciate the offer but I'm mostly into classic rock. Have to admit though, I did see Buck Owens many times while watching Hee Haw back in the day.

Hee-Haw was a Saturday evening staple in many households in the 70s. When I visited my grandparents for extended periods back then, I knew that weekdays would center around them watching their 'stories' (soap operas), and Saturday nights would include watching Hee-Haw.

Lots of good regular bits/sketches from that show:
"Where, or where, are you tonight? Why did you leave here all alone? ..."
    "I'm a pickin'"...and..."I'm a grinnin'" Roy and Buck
"Now, we're not ones to go 'round spreadin' rumors. Why really, we're just not the gossiping kind,..."
"Gloom, despair, and agony on me."
Junior Samples used car lot, call BR-549

Here is a photo of the Tchaikovsky Swan Lake tape being played on the Crown transport, the audio from the tape playback head is connected to the Dundovic playback electronics. The output of this is connected to the Shure M64 to the right of the Dundovic. Both are powered by battery. The November 1958 recording is one of the most highly regarded (performance: 8 and sonics: 10 in the Robert Moon London Guide) "Blue Back" Londons and really sounds wonderful. Good grief, it really sounds amazing the more I listen to it.

I hated Hee-Haw when I was a kid, but I think that was mostly because it got in the way of Airwolf.

Glad you're enjoying it, and that it found a good home. Even on the modest RTR decks I played it on, I think that one sounded the best of that particular bunch. It has seen very little play time, so should have many hours left.

Maybe a digital rip would be nice :)
