Recommend starter pre?

My son and his GF have a house now and might be putting in a small stereo. I'm going to gift them my Sansui AU-222 but it has no remote volume control and it's going on ...oh...50 years old.
This might have a TV hooked up directly to it, maybe a TT and Alexa might get a room also.
Not looking to spend over $500 and probably much less. Used is perfectly fine.
Should have:
1) remote control for volume
2) At least 3 inputs
3) no tubes (cat's in the house)
4) Must be integrated pre+amp
5) wattage can be very low - fairly small room.
I've just not been in this market so I don't know what's out there. Figured you guys would have some ideas.
