Hi. Anyone know of any links anywhere on the 'net that may have the specs to make an interconnect cable for a pair of SDA-2b's? Part numbers for the plugs, etc. would be very helpful.

Thanks!

I looked through that site but couldn't find connectors that would fit the SDA's. Where are they? I need one as well.
    Thanks,

OKay somebody fill me in on just what type of connector these speakers use. I haven't the foggiest notion what SDA-2's look like or what sort of special cable they need.

They have the blade/blade type, they DO NOT have the pin/blade type.

Thank you! amulford!! That helps. I'm going to try and build a cable. From what I understand, the blade doesn't do anything - it's the pin that needs to be connected.

That pin looks about the same size as a banana plug - true?

Someone could use a speaker cable upgrade. :D
    I know, I know, it's a personal thing...

Edit: Actually that pin is the same size as the pin on an RCA phono jack.

Yeah I know. It's on the list, but man what a pain in the ****...

It's alot more to it that just hooking up a couple of runs, I have to go thru walls and under floors and yadda yadda yadda..

The BOSS is real tight on that stuff, no new holes, minimal visibility....

OK - I'm now confused. I've seen a lot of posts here in the forums relaying info they have received from Polk saying that the blade part of the cable isn't used, it's only there for "support" or something.

Anyone know the real truth to this?

I don't think so, for there are two wires in the cable. Now if they only used one plug, why would they have two wires?

I had to cut mine to extend it. I was told to be sure BOTH connections were maintained.

I know, I know, it can be repaired.

You don't NEED the blade part. I've used just a run of speaker wire jury rigged into the pin hole and it works.....

I know people and even Polk have said that you don't need both wires, but if you look at the back of the binding post plate you will see that both the pin and the blade terminals have wires connected to them. This makes me go hmmmmmm???

    Does make you go hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........

Perhaps Ken could give us some insight. I agree, there has got to be a reason......I mean, why have such a non-standard connection in the first place?

    Probably a common ground connection.

Yeah, that would explain why non common ground amps are a no no.
