You being put on Post Review is not called for in my opinion and you are providing very interesting data that we did not have on a vintage speaker that many of us own and are curious about.

So a set of M10 6510 MW's leaves the Polk factory 40 years ago and your kid in college, pounds them into oblivion at the dorm. They have higher Vas when their suspensions are about wore out?

"Have you seen Junior's grades" - a sarcastic lyric from Van Halen's "And the Cradle Will Rock" (from Women and Children First (1980), pounding away in the dorm, destroying 6500 drivers 40 years ago...

Still waiting on a batch of Wuhan 3.5 ohm coils to show up. The ebayer messaged and asked what model they were going in. Told him old Polks, so look for Polk specific coil descriptions on the wubay now lmao.

After playing around a bit (switching between the 1980 silver basket 6500 and the original 1983 driver with the wuhan coil replacement) I think I will be sticking with the wuhan driver in the other 7B. It just sounds like a closer match to the other original 7B driver than the silver basket does.
Still wish I got the whole Van Halen funny thing. Oh well, perhaps this and "carbon footprint" I may never get.

I don't get the "carbon footprint" either. If tree-huggers stop respirating, every cell in their body will stop making CO2 via the Krebs cycle. Maybe then they'd have peace?
