    Black is positive, it should go to the red dot. White is negative.

    Thanks! I guess it's akin to house wiring..."black is hot , white is not" I knew I marked it correctly, but there was the possibility of the previous owner had them out and wired incorrectly. Thanks again for eliminating my concerns.
