    There have been a few incidents of terrorism in the Pacific
    Northwest. But it's mostly issues with the railroad itself.
    They cut maintenance and operational personnel and
    made the trains even longer. They aren't putting a penny
    Into modernization and safety. Derailments are pretty
    Common.
    Airlines have done the same. Ground inspections are being
    done now by lower paid staff, not real mechanics. Heavy
    maintenance is no longer done here. They fly the planes to
    Asia. So the FAA can no longer look over their shoulders while
    the work is being done. My old neighborhood in Texas had a
    Lot of airline mechanics living there.
    My guess is fl×et trucking isn't much better.

    Why the railroad doesn’t have an ongoing infrared maintenance program is just reckless.
