Graham Audio 5/5 speaker review
The review below has a glowing review of this speaker, but one look how 2 of the drivers(and esp the larger one) are partially covered by the cabinet makes me think if they sound this good as is....how much better would they sound if no cabinet interference?

Not a diffraction pad on earth that will help that guy!- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Depending on the (HF) cutoff frequency for the woofer(s), that should have little or no effect.
Think about something like a Klipschorn
EDIT:
1) for posterity, here's das Ding an sich.
2) actually, it looks like they're leveraging diffraction to improve dispersion, a la a diffraction horn like the EV T35 family.A three-way design with slot-loading of the midrange and woofer to achieve a wider, smoother, more uniform axial response, the 5/5 manages the difficult trick of achieving a uniform frequency response across an approximately 60-degree window, while at the same time realizing state-of-the-art imaging and a commandingly impressive dynamic range that will exceed the requirements of most music listeners in anything short of baronial-sized listening rooms...

Heathkit did a similar thing with their TOTL loudspeaker in the late 1970s/early 1980s.
