    Interesting. It's a chip apparently....wonder what products it will be going into....

    Looks like this news is also hot off the press.

    Just giving it a quick glace, it is only available right now in his combo unit. I'm not interested in his products, only the chip, based on what he stated. It will most likely be years before companies pay for the licensing and introduce this chip into their products.

    Plus, just because it's new does not mean I'll buy it. I either have to hear it first or the empirical evidence from those who have heard it (or from trusted ears) better be overwhelmingly glowing. Otherwise, it's just marketing hype.

    Caviar comes from virgin sturgeon;
    Virgin sturgeon's a very fine dish.
    Very few sturgeon are ever virgin,
    That's why caviar's a very rare dish

    Well, you started it. What's it got to do with the price of fish? As far as Mr. Levinson's new chip. I smell massive oversampling and interpolation. So, in conclusion, this thread is about fish and chips.

    One thing I'll say about Mark Levinson is he is good at putting some of the best audio engineers together to create his products.

    I don't know if sturgeons are elasmobranchs like sharks and rays, but I do know that they are very primitive.
    They're not like coelacanths, though -- I know that.

    They're both definitely analog and not digital.
    Pretty sure about that.

    As a teen I wasn't much for eating fish, but I'll always remember my first meal from a fish & chip shop in the U.K., one of those things in life that you can never replicate again.
    Yep, my name really is Bob.

    Good question. Tom has become the "stand in" recently for @Verb and his buying new stuff.
