Anyone heard from Johnny or know more about the situation in Palestine OH? See the news link. This is in his neck of the woods, I believe so I'm a bit concerned. Been trying to contact him, but so far it's been a No Go.

Hope this thing hasn't affected many polkies. I've heard some pretty knarly reports about people's pets dying as well as fish, birds and other wildlife. :(

  • Sorry brother, with the hip replacement surgery last Monday and Skype chatting with my brother in ca in his final moments on earth , I’m pretty wiped out and admit I’m a mess!
The train reaction wasn’t in our background but I’m sure we’ll all get a present from that one! I still pop in here cuz it beats fakebook and I really like a lot of our members here !
Music lifts me up daily and yes life sure can be cruel!

Good to hear from you, bro. I forgot all about your hip replacement. I must be getting senile. Been praying for your brother. You and I both know he's going to a better, even the best place. Heal up and we'll talk more when you feel better. Those hip replacements take a lot out of ya, I know. The first one I had kicked my butt good. Take care!

First off, please accept my sincerest condolences to you and yours about the loss of your brother.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery on the new hip. That doesn't sound like a fun surgery/recovery to have. Glad to hear you weren't displaced because of the train incident. That definitely looked like a nasty pile up, with an even nastier situation afterwards. I didn't realize that this had happened in your neck of the woods.

Keep your chin up bro'. Life sure can test you at times.

Heal up, and God speed; my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

I got curious the night before my surgery and watched this video. The thought of cancelling the procedure did cross my mind. My first hip replacement was brutal. I was black & blue all the way down on my right side and on the inner thigh. It popped out of the socket twice during my recovery. It wasn't painful, but it was an odd sensation. I was supposed to do the left within 4-6 months after the first, but that turned into 6yrs IIRC. Fortunately, my left side op went a lot smoother. MY right hip still gives me problems.

    Anyway, enjoy the show. ;)

Condolences, Johnny. Hope you have a speedy recovery.
  • Just wanted to say thank you for the kind words and it means a lot! When healing from a major surgery horrible news is something you don’t want to hear I can testify to that!
I too have to say that when my time comes I know I can’t control others but I sure don’t want anyone to be sad (at least not for very long) but more so be happy that I am at peace and with The Lord ! That thinking has sure been helpful throughout this week reading the comments here for the most part we’re beautiful words! Thank you all and healing is going great! I’ll be back behind my drum sets this next week !
