In reading comments on SQ on another forum, they are mostly positive.
I think what is happening is people who don't like it are missing the punch
of the originals. This may be do to compression or lack there of. When there
is more space around the instruments it comes across as more relaxed to me.
What say you @Keiko ?Speakers: Polk Lsim, ATC SCM19 v2, NHT SuperzeroSpeaker Cables: DH Labs, Transparent, Wireworld, Canare, Monster: Beer budget, Bose ears -

Well, it's all subjective. IMO, there's plenty of punch. The mix sounds nice & warm with a nice top end and clarity. Gear has a lot to do with sound, speakers, etc. Like I said, it's all subjective. As for me, I'm happy with the investment. I do like the fact that this comes in a plastic, hard shell SACD case. My gaucho SACD is the same. Aja and Pretzel Logic are in the cardboard mini sleeves which is ok, but I prefer the hard cases. -
I ripped the 50th Anniversary vinyl in 96/24 with my Goldring E3. Compared it to the SACD and I could not tell the difference.
Here's a sample. See what ya think.

And just in case.
