So the circuit city i work at recently put the infinity beta 50's and the 20's on display. I listened to the 20's and was reasonably impressed with them, I still think the rti4's and 6's beat them, but they sounded better, not quite as shrill as the alpha 20's, so I think they're a pretty decent speaker. (I am however hoping that the new monitor series is nearly as good as the rti line, because i'd have to start selling to infinity's instead of polks.) I listened to the 50's today, and I wasn't terribly impressed. I listened to Aerosmith's Dream On on the rti 8's, the 10's and infinity beta 50's, and I thought that the rti8's and 10's both sounded much better for rock music, the highs were much more accentuated on the polks, more lively. Anybody else gotten a chance to demo them yet? Sound and vision recently reviewed the set for ht and came away fairly impressed. The manager of my department thought they stomped on the Polk's, but I think he's a fool.
