Speaker Stand question, yes another one

Ok right now my Eosones (hopefully to be replaced with Polk mains soon) are on speaker stands in my bedroom HT. The reason I have done this is because I wanted my speakers to be above my bed which is pretty high off the ground. My question is, is this adversely affecting my sound stage somehow? I dont' think it is, but I'm just wondering. My second question is for future use of them. I was thinking about getting the RT800i's or teh RT55i's as mains in the near future. The stands are only 18" off the ground so does this rule out the 55's? The bed is a good 6" at least above the stands.

When you're in your listening position, how high above your mains are you?
The drivers of the rt55i's are located in the upper half of the box, so add the height of them to that of your speaker stand.

well right now I have towers so it's ok, but I was wondering if the 55's would be tall enough. I think you just answered my question though.
