Hello gents ,

Just came back from CC in my brothers neighborhood and found a mint set of RTi12's (open box) for $400 each ($800 pr) . My brother is the person looking into a purchase of a new setup for both music and HT for his main living room . I told him I thought the 12's @ $800 pr was a great deal and he should give them a try .

What ya guys think of the price as Iam trying to convince him to go for it ?

TIA ;):D

I just got a pair of 8's in CC. Just an FYI the discontinued price on the 12's was 800 for a pair. I think they would drop it even lower for open box. Probably around 700...

I was going to buy the 12 floor models but they were pretty beat up so I had to pass on the deal. If they are in good shape I would definitely jump on the deal.

From what I have read in the forums make sure you get a receiver with tons of power or an extra amp to power the 12's. The 8's sound similar to the 12's minus the bass. One thing I have learned in these forums in a short time is SVS or HSU are the subwoofers of choice if you go with the 8's. I think the majority seems to be leaning towards the SVS
