I need to run speaker cables, line level cables and power through the floor to an unfinished basement and looking for advise for floor boxes The boxes will be out of the way where people won't be walking on them. I suppose the power cable should be in its own box separate from speaker and line level.

I ran this for years, the outlet is in its own enclosure and I had them install nl4 connectors

No noise issues
Recently switched to thicker speaker cable and ran grommets that allow fishing reels to stick thru a roof, also with good success- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -

Only issue I see in that link is the quality or lack of with the supplied outlets?? If that matters (as everything does) maybe they could be upgraded?"if it's not fun, it's not worth it & remember folks, "It's All About The Music"!!

Oh yes, definitely changed the outlet to a hospital grade 20 amp
Audiophile outlets were to deep- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Thanks, I'll check that out. I may be able to run an outlet in the basement for power and just pass the speaker and line-level through the floor.
I have my main amps located in the basement where it is nice and cool. The hybrid water heater blows cold air into that area. John Curl gave me some advise on biasing my Parasound based on temperature and it can run a but harm so this is a good environment. It also allowed me to reduce cable lengths.Stan
